The Rings Security Shutters & Gates Ltd range of smoke and fire life protection products has been developed to provide solutions to all types of applications where fire separation and/or smoke compartmentation is required.
All smoke curtains are manufactured to ensure full compliance with current British and European regulations
Smoke Curtains are designed to deploy on activation of fire alarm or local smoke detection and drop to a fixed level, to contain smoke and allow other extraction systems to disperse the smoke and allow for safe escape of people in the vicinity in a fire situation.
The smoke curtain control panels incorporate the latest electronic technology and are designed to link easily into client’s fire alarm systems or alternatively can be linked and activated via local stand alone smoke detectors.
The smoke curtains are designed gravity fail safe, when power is lost. As a result this product is one of the most advanced yet cost effective systems on the market.
Limit switch control has been replaced with current limiting systems to determine the upper position of the curtain and a motor generated hold back electromagnetic facility, this ensures a controlled descent of the curtain even in the event of total power failure.
The curtain fabric has a Panama weave which offers a more even surface and allows a tighter interlacing of the fabric edges.
The curtain fabric is made from glass cloth with micronized aluminium polymer coating to both sides and is tested to BSEN12101 standards.
The tensile strength of Panama weave fabric is 10% greater than other fabrics due to the constant thread tension.
